European Commission announces €30 million humanitarian aid for Lebanon
The European Commission has announced another €30 million ($33 million) in humanitarian aid for Lebanon to supply food, shelter, and health care.
European Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarčič said the aid is meant to “promptly support those affected by conflict in Lebanon so they can receive immediate relief.”
The commission is organising the delivery of aid to Beirut via the European Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism.
It is a platform to coordinate and share emergency resources.
So far, over €104 million in EU humanitarian aid has been delivered to Lebanon in 2024, according to the commission.
