Everton name Frank Lampard as club manager
Everton have appointed former Chelsea coach Frank Lampard as manager.
Skysports on Sunday night reported that Lampard signed a two-and-half-year contract with Everton, replacing Rafael Benitez who was sacked earlier in the month.
Lampard, sacked last January by Chelsea after 18 months, was offered the job on Saturday, which will be announced soon.
Everton are 16th on the English Premier League log, just four points away from relegation zone.
Lampard would take charge at Goodison Park with the expectation of helping Everton move up the EPL log.
As Chelsea’s manager, Lampard led the Blues in 84 matches in all competitions, won 44, drew 17 and lost 23.
