Ex-Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey charged with two new rape cases
A former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape following allegation by a new alleged victim.
This came months after the Villarreal midfielder pleaded not guilty to five previous charges relating to rape and sexual assault when he was arraigned at London’s Southwark Crown Court in September last year.
He is scheduled to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 13 March for a first hearing on the two new charges.
The new charges has now brought the number of women that have accused the Ghanaian international of rape and sexual assault, which were first reported in 2022, to four.
Partey, who was formally charged four days after leaving Arsenal in 2025, was granted conditional following by the first appearance in court.
The player’s trial is set to take place under a High Court judge on November 2 this year.
