A former governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani, has urged Osun governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, to sustain and improve upon his family’s accomplishments.

“The people expect nothing less than excellent service delivery,” Mr Nnamani said in a statement congratulating the governor-elect, urging him to see his election as an opportunity to serve and unite the people who earnestly desired positive changes.

“You will earn respect and support of the people of Osun if you are fair, just and equitable in the administration of the state,” the former governor said.

Mr Nnamani also praised the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate Ifeanyi Okowa, and the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, for their support.

“It is not in doubt that the victory of Adeleke was largely influenced by the teamwork of the chieftains who provided leadership,” he said, commending the people of Osun for the overwhelming support given to the PDP at the polls.

The former governor also urged the state’s citizens to rally around Mr Adeleke when he fully assumes his duty as governor.
