Ex-FRCN boss decries rising insecurity in Nigeria as he declares for senate

Ladan Salihu, former Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, on Friday, decried the rising insecurity in the country, “especially in the North-West and North-Eastern part of the country”.
Mr Salihu spoke with journalists in Bauchi after submitting the Peoples Democratic Party form he recently picked to seek the party’s ticket to contest the 2023 Bauchi South Senatorial seat.
“There are many issues to worry about – poverty, deprivation, unemployment and, most importantly, insecurity.
“In the past, no state in the North-West was hit by insecurity. Today, virtually all the states in the North-West are in a state of insecurity. The North-East is also hit.
“There are many issues that will propel me and like-minds to go into politics.”
Mr Salihu said he was going to the national assembly “to represent people” in the way that reflect their aspirations, expectations and dreams for a greater future.
Bauchi South senatorial zone comprises Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Dass, Kirfi, Tafawa Balewa and Toro local governments.
