Wife of former Oyo State Governor, Florence Ajimobi, has described the late Lamidi Ajadi as a man whose counsel was a beacon at times of uncertainty.

Mrs Ajimobi, in her condolence message in Ibadan on Wednesday, said the late Baba Adinni of Ibadanland, was a pillar of note in all ramifications.

She said, “In these moments of grief, we intimately understand the anguish of losing a pillar of the family and community.’’

According to her, the late businessman’s passing evoked painful memories of losing her husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and their daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi.

“Chief Ajadi’s departure is not just a personal loss to his loved ones, but a void in the tapestry of our society,” she said.

Mrs Ajimobi said the deceased led a life of service, integrity, and cultural preservation, adding that his legacy, like her husband’s, was rooted in contributions to community development and wise counsel.

She said, “Chief Ajadi exemplified great virtues such as integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to community development. His life mirrored the essence of leadership, selfless service, and dedication to uplifting others. His counsel was sought by many; his wisdom was a beacon in times of uncertainty.’’

Mrs Ajimobi urged the bereaved family to draw strength from his fond memories, encouraging unity and service in honour of his legacy, praying to Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdaus.

Similarly, the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, in a statement, described the late Ajadi as an illustrious son of Ibadanland.

According to the minister, no soothing words can help ease the pain and loss of his passing.

He said, “Let us take solace in his good deeds, which are indelibly written in the heart of the people who have had the good fortune of coming in contact with him.’’

Mr Adelabu praised the late Ajadi’s business acumen, integrity, and dedication to public service, highlighting his advocacy for education, youth empowerment, and development in Nigeria.

“Though, Chief Ajadi lived a long and impactful life, his death remains painful. Ibadanland and Oyo State have lost a patriotic elder and respected community builder,” he said.

He urged the deceased’s family to take solace in his legacy, praying Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest and comfort those he left behind.
