Ex-PDP governors have endorsed my guber ambition in Edo: Onaiwu

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors have endorsed Earl Osaro Onaiwu’s bid for the governorship of Edo. Mr Onaiwu disclosed this in an interview on Friday.
Mr Onaiwu said the former governors’ endorsement indicated the party’s support and unity.
Mr Onaiwu also said his endorsement testified to his positive role in advancing the ideals of the PDP in his position as the pioneer director-general of the party’s governors’ forum.
He added that his endorsement recognised the quality leadership he could “provide to take Edo state to the level it should be.”
The forum purchased Mr Onaiwu’s nomination form, which cost N35 million.
According to him, the gesture represents a vote of confidence in his ability to provide the leadership needed to bring positive change to bear on the state.
Aminu Shehu from Katsina and Kayode Olusegun from Ondo coordinated the purchase of the nomination form on behalf of the former governors.
