Ex-president Obasanjo commends INEC for introduction of BVAS

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the Introduction of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) to improve the voting process.
Mr Obasanjo, who voted at Polling Unit 22, Ward 11, Olushomi compound, at Abeokuta North at 10:33 a.m., said the introduction of the new technology has improved the voting process
“What I have seen here is okay, I came, they asked me to remove my glasses which I did, the BVAS was placed before my face and my picture appeared, that is a good one.
“If this is what is happening all over the country, I think we are making progress.
Election is the beginning of new government, I think this is commendable,” the former president said.
He, however, kept mum when Peoples Gazette asked if he was optimistic that Peter Obi, his endorsed presidential candidate would win the election.
