Ex-PTDF secretary Ahmad Galadima wins Adamawa APC governorship primary

Ahmad Galadima, a former executive secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Adamawa State.
Announcing the result on Friday in Yola, the chairman of the gubernatorial primary election committee, Mr Innocent Bariko, declared Mr Galadima winner of the contest.
Mr Bariko said the winner polled 414,444 votes to defeat other contenders in the race, while Abdulrazak Namdas came second with 86,004 votes.
He added that Abdurahman Haske polled 65,424 votes to emerge third in the race.
Mr Haske had earlier received the endorsement of Hammanjoda Madaki, a prominent politician and elder statesman in Adamawa State, who withdrew from the race to support him.
