Ex-Super Eagles players converge on Lagos for Tinubu’s 70th birthday
Former Super Eagles stars J J Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, Kanu Nwankwo and a host of others were in Lagos on Saturday ahead of a novelty match in celebration of the 70th birthday of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former players were pictured at Mr Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence where they met with him and presented an award to the presidential aspirant.
A brief statement released by Mr Tinubu’s media team read: “Asiwaju for President 2023: Presentation of Award by Ex-Super Eagles and Kanu Heart Foundation to Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu at Bourdillon earlier today.
“Join us tomorrow by 2pm at Onikan stadium for novelty match in honor of Asiwaju at 70.”
The former players will converge at the renovated Onikan stadium on Sunday, March 20, to play in a novelty match in continuation of Mr Tinubu’s birthday celebrations.
