Famous computer scientist Zara Dar abandons PhD to join porn site OnlyFans

Zara Dar, a YouTuber known for simplifying complex scientific concepts in machine learning and neural networks, has abandoned her PhD to pursue a career as an OnlyFans content creator.
Ms Dar, who has gained over 100,000 subscribers on her educational YouTube channel, shared her decision in a YouTube post titled ‘PhD dropout to OnlyFans model’.
In the video, Ms Dar opened up about her emotional journey, saying, “I’ve cried so much over this decision to quit my PhD because it’s a stressful decision, not that I’m particularly sad about it.”
Initially treating her OnlyFans account as a side project, she revealed the platform’s lucrative potential, ultimately influencing her career shift.
“I’ve been able to make over one million dollars. With that, I helped my family pay off our mortgage, bought myself a car, and, thankfully, avoided taking out any student loans,” she said.
Ms Dar also shared her disillusionment with academia, noting that the reality of being a professor was far from her expectations.
“A professor earns $100 on average. Instead of spending their time diving into research, most of their energy is spent writing grant proposals and fighting for funding,” she explained.
Ms Dar is a computer scientist with a background in machine learning and neural networks.
Through her popular YouTube channel, she simplified complex STEM topics, making them accessible to people all over the world.
Ms Dar continues to maintain an active presence on social media, sharing her experiences and engaging with her growing fanbase.
