Fans lament Kano Pillars’ poor performance
Kano Pillars FC fans have lamented the continued poor performance of the team in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
They expressed their worries during a fans’ club meeting held at Pillars Stadium, Sabon Gari.
This is contained in a statement by the Kano Pillars Fans Club secretary, Rabiu Abdullahi, on Monday in Kano.
The fans called on the club’s management to immediately recall players loaned to Rivers and Katsina United in midseason to strengthen the team.
“We are calling on the management also to recruit two additional experienced strikers. We are also appealing to the state government to fulfil the requirement of League Management Company (LMC) by renovating the pitch in order for the club to return back to Kano,” they stated.
The fans commended the state government for prompt payment of salaries and allowances of players and technical crew. They also appealed to all supporters to continue to pray for the team’s success.
Kano Pillars have 18 points from 15 matches and are 14th on the NPFL table.
