The All Farmers Association of Nigeria has officially dissociated itself from Kabir Ibrahim and his dissolved National Working Committee following a Court of Appeal judgment in Abuja.

The AFAN President, Dr Farouk Rabiu-Mudi, said this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

He warned the public, government agencies, and development partners to cease all engagements with Ibrahim and members of the dissolved committee.

According to him, they have no legal authority to represent the association.

He said the Court of Appeal had reaffirmed that the Incorporated Trustees remained the legitimate leadership of AFAN, not Kabir Ibrahim or any parallel structure.

The judgment delivered on July 17, upheld an earlier Federal High Court’s judgment delivered on March 24, 2022.

It nullified all claims made by the Ibrahim-led faction.

“The appellate court dismissed the appeal as lacking in merit and fully validated the Incorporated Trustees as the lawful leadership of the association,” Mr Rabiu-Mudi said.

AFAN outlined the judgment as final and binding, warning that any representation or activity by the dissolved committee is unauthorised, misleading, and potentially fraudulent.

He stated, “We reiterate that any official communication, partnership, or programme involving AFAN must pass through the Incorporated Trustees. The public is strongly advised to disregard any claims, invitations, or proposals coming from Kabir Ibrahim or his group.’’

Mr Rabiu-Mudi reaffirmed the association’s commitment to transparent leadership, farmer empowerment, and institutional integrity.

He also urged stakeholders to verify all information through authorised channels only.
