Federal High Court mourns Kano judge

The FHC said the deceased’s immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered.

The Federal High Court (FHC) on Saturday announced the passing of a sitting judge, Justice Mohammed Yunusa of the Kano judicial division.

The Director of Information of the FHC, Catherine-Oby Christopher, made this known in a statement in Abuja.

It noted that Justice Yunusa died on Thursday after a brief illness at the Kano State Medical Centre.

According to the statement, he has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

It stated, “Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”

The FHC said the deceased’s immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered.

It said his contribution would also be greatly cherished by his colleagues, members of the outer Bar, court staff, and all who had the privilege of working with him.

“The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court extend their heartfelt condolences to his immediate family. We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” it stated.
