Federal University Birnin Kebbi appoints new physical planning director

The Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, has appointed the former rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Muhammad Sani-Aliyu, as its new director of physical planning and development.
The appointment is contained in a statement signed by the university’s spokesman Jamilu Magaji on Thursday.
“The new director, who assumed duty on December 19, was, until his appointment, the immediate past Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi. The new director holds BSc and MSc. Architecture from the University of Jos and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1985 and 1991, respectively,” said the statement.
It added, “He also attended Kaduna Polytechnic, where he obtained a National Diploma in Architecture in 1982.”
The university explained that Mr Sani-Aliyu is a fellow of the Solar Energy Society of Nigeria and a member of several professional institutions, including the United Nations-African International Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), etc.
He is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Architects Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria and Association of Architectural Educators of Nigeria.
He also attended the Senior Executive Course 44, 2022, of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
