FG hails NIPR’s Reputation Perception Index Report

Information minister Mohammed Idris has lauded the Nigeria Reputation Perception Index Report 2025, written by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Mr Idris gave the commendation in his goodwill message at the public presentation of the report in Abuja.
The report was written by NIPR in collaboration with Reputation Perception Services.
Mr Idris commended the president of NIPR, Ike Neliaku, for bringing issues of reputation to the front burner. Government, he said, could use the data to counter stereotypes, including those hindering patriotism.
“In a clear way that perception shapes reality, this report stands as a strategic asset to inform public policy and reforms, enhance robust engagements, and improve inflows,” said Mr Idris.
The minister also lauded various initiatives, such as the National Values Charter and the National Reputation Management Group.
“The government of President Bola Tinubu is conscious of the fact that reputation is a definition of governance. If you do well, your reputation grows. Otherwise, it drops. Tinubu has therefore initiated projects in infrastructure, security, and social investments to meet this end,” Mr Idris said.
He said the ministry would study the report and apply its recommendations.
The minister also urged stakeholders, governments, civil society organisations, and the private sector to embrace the report’s insights.
