FG, Lagos partner on seamless project delivery

The federal ministry of works and the Lagos State ministry of transportation have vowed to collaborate to ensure seamless project delivery in the state.
The commissioner for transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, made this known while receiving the federal controller of works, Olufemi Dare, and his team in Lagos.
He said the meeting would strengthen ties between the two parties.
He highlighted Lagos’ unique challenges, with over 30 million people and a high volume of daily vehicular movement, which required effective management and safety measures.
“There is a need for action-oriented strategic engagements to achieve desired results in project management,” he said.
Earlier, Mr Dare emphasised the need for intentional synergy between the Federal Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Transportation to ensure smooth project delivery in Lagos State.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration on traffic management and coordination, citing the Coastal Road project as a key area that required joint efforts due to its current high traffic volume.
The permanent secretary, Olawale Musa, promised increased deployment of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority personnel, road signs, and security backup on the Coastal Road corridor.
