Fintiri confident of NSCDC’s capacity to maintain peace, security

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed confidence in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’s capacity to maintain peace and security in Adamawa.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the corps in carrying out its constitutional mandate.
The governor gave the assurance when the newpeace and security ipaid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Yola on Thursday.
He welcomed the new commandant and assured him of his administration’s continued support to enable the corps to discharge its statutory responsibilities.
Mr Saleh, who conveyed the goodwill of the NSCDC commandant-general, Ahmed Audi, appreciated the state government’s continued support for the corps.
He pledged the command’s commitment to collaborating with government and other security agencies to protect lives, property and critical national assets across the state.
He also assured the governor of efforts to strengthen peace, public safety and security through effective service delivery and professionalism.
