Fire breaks out at MMIA Terminal 2

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.

This is contained in a statement issued by the authority’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, on Sunday.

Mr Agbebire said that FAAN’s Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service was responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation.

He said that there were no reports of casualties.

“Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available,” he said.

The official did not say when the fire began.
