Fire guts building in Ibadan

A fire outbreak on Thursday razed the training office of Sun Watt’s Solar and Electrical Company Plc, located in the Iwo Road area of Ibadan.
The chairman of Oyo State Fire Services Agency, Moroof Akinwande, in a statement on Friday, said the fire, which happened on Thursday evening, razed the company’s training office, located on the upper floor of the Salinsile building on Iwo Road.
Mr Akinwande stated that the agency received a distress call about the fire incident at exactly 6:12 p.m. on Thursday and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene.
He stated that firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building.
Mr Akinwande stated that properties worth millions of naira were saved by the fire service, and no casualties were reported in the incident.
He stated that the cause of the fire incident had yet to be established, but a post-fire investigation was ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
