First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged residents of Ekiti State to support President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji by ensuring their reelection in the 2027 general elections.

Mrs Tinubu made the call on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti during a one-day working visit to the state, where she also empowered 2,000 women with grants of N50, 000 each under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

She said the empowerment was aimed at boosting women’s economic activities, enhancing their businesses, and improving the welfare of families across the state.

She said women remained critical stakeholders in national development and deserved continuous support to enable them to contribute meaningfully to economic growth and social stability.

According to her, the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to improving the living conditions of Nigerians through various interventions targeted at vulnerable groups, including women and youths.

Mrs Tinubu commended the state government for its commitment to the welfare of women and other vulnerable groups, describing Ekiti as a model in grassroots development and inclusive governance.

She said both the president and Mr Oyebanji’s administrations had demonstrated commitment to the development and progress of the people.

Earlier, Mr Oyebanji expressed appreciation to Mrs Tinubu for her consistent support of Ekiti women, through the RHI, saying the intervention had positively impacted many families across the state.

The governor described her as a compassionate leader whose programmes had continued to bring relief and hope to women and other vulnerable groups across the country.

Mrs Oyebanji assured her of the unwavering support of the Ekiti people, pledging that the state would deliver 700,000 votes for the president in the 2027 general elections.

Also, the national woman leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Mary Alile-Idele, appreciated Ekiti residents for their continued support of Messrs Tinubu and Oyebanji.
