Five drown in Kano, three saved from fire outbreak
The Kano State Fire Service says it saved three persons and property worth N482 million from 30 incidents recorded across the 44 council areas in June.
The agency’s director, Sani Anas, disclosed this on Monday in Kano. He said five people lost their lives due to incidents involving ponds and wells, while property worth N120 million was destroyed by the fire during the period under review.
According to him, the service responded to seven emergency calls and one false alarm from residents of the state.
Mr Anas urged the general public to adopt proper fire safety measures to avoid unforeseen circumstances.
Mr Anas said the service is committed to protecting lives and property through prompt emergency response and preventive safety measures.
