Fleeing teenage driver nabbed for knocking down three cops in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested one Nsikak Okon, for allegedly knocking down three officers while fleeing and also hitting several cars and pedestrians with his tinted Mercedes Benz vehicle.
In a statement on X, on Friday, in response to a post on Thursday, by @ChuksEricE, showing the incident, the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said hard drugs were also discovered in the tinted vehicle which had no number plate.
Mr Hundeyin said, “You were driving a fully and heavily tinted vehicle without number plates. You met police officers on the road and sped past in a very reckless manner.
“On your way back, you sped past again, nearly knocking down an officer. And in what appears to be very deliberate, you came back again with the same reckless speed, this time successfully knocking down three officers. Two of them have been discharged, while one other is still in hospital. “
Stating that the 19-year-old suspect proceeded to damage other people’s vehicles before he was eventually apprehended,” Mr Hundeyin said that upon searching his vehicle, “substances suspected to be hard drugs were found.”
