Football: U-14 league heads for dramatic final day

The Nathaniel Idowu Foundation U-14 Football League enters its final matchday, with tension rising among teams chasing qualification for the decisive Super 4.
With one round of fixtures left on Saturday, the race for the top four remains wide open, promising a gripping finale.
Ajegunle United, Bright Future and Moore Wins are battling for Super 4 spots, with every kick likely decisive.
NAN reports that the Super 4 tournament will be held on April 18, featuring semi-finals, a third-place match, an All-Stars game and the final.
The spotlight falls on Bright Future FA against Pure Talents FA at noon, where Bright Future must win and hope Ajegunle United slip.
Their recent draw with Young 11 FA cost valuable ground, but they remain determined to revive their chances.
Pure Talents, after a thrilling 3–3 draw with Fortune FA, will aim to frustrate Bright Future’s ambitions with their attacking strength.
At 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Moore Wins FA face Fortune FA in a daunting encounter that could define their campaign.
Moore Wins require victory to stay in contention, but Fortune FA have been formidable, dropping points only twice this season.
Fortune, chasing top spot, drew 2–2 with Ajegunle United and 3–3 with Pure Talents, underlining their consistency.
The pivotal fixture comes at 2:00 p.m. as Ajegunle United face Young 11 FA, needing victory to confirm their Super 4 place.
Ajegunle United have impressed recently, beating Coal City FA 2–0 and edging Strong Dove FA 1–0.
The final match sees Strong Dove FA play Michael May FA at 3:00 p.m., with Strong Dove aiming to cement second place.
Strong Dove thrashed Divinely Blessed FA 5–0 before narrowly losing to Ajegunle United, and will seek a strong finish.
Foundation founder Yemi Idowu announced that each of the top four teams will receive 20 new jerseys.
“With everything at stake, the final matchday promises intense drama, passion and memorable football moments,” a league official said.
