Former ADC chieftain emerges DLA chairman in Ondo

A former chieftain of the African Democratic Congress in Ondo state, Oluwatosin Ayeni, has emerged as the state chairman of the newly registered Democratic Leadership Alliance.
Mr Ayeni was declared the winner by consensus by the DLA chairman of the Congress Committee, Oladimeji Oluwafisayo, during the party’s congress on Thursday in Akure.
Jerry Babaleye emerged as the state legal adviser for DLA.
Mr Ayeni thanked the DLA members for the confidence and trust reposed in him to paddle the boat of the party in the state.
He called on Nigerians to join the party by registering on its website and said DLA is a platform that can present able Nigerians as true leaders to take the country to the desired state.
Mr Ayeni, a former ADC liaison officer with the Independent National Electoral Commission, said the voice of the people would always count in the party through the presentation of credible candidates in subsequent elections.
Okechukwu Ibeh, the secretary of the DLA’s congress committee, described the emergence of Mr Ayeni as divine and said the party would develop rapidly under his leadership.
INEC, led by Adenike Tadese, the Ondo state’s administrative secretary, monitored the congress.
