American news network Fox News has announced that Karoline Leavitt, White House’s former press secretary, is joining the organisation as an on-air contributor.

Fox News announced Ms Leavitt’s appointment in a statement on Monday, stating that the 29-year-old will officially join the network on November 1 and provide commentary across the organisation’s shows.

“@karolineleavitt is joining Fox News Channel as an on-air contributor after leaving the White House briefing room. The former White House press secretary will provide commentary across the Fox News lineup beginning Nov. 1,” the organisation said on X.

President Donald Trump appointed Ms Leavitt as 36th White House press secretary in January 2025. She held the position until her departure in August this year to devote more time to her two children.

Commenting on the development, Fox News Media Chief Executive Officer Suzanne Scott said that Ms Leavitt’s experience serving in the White House would be great for the organisation.

“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Ms Scott noted.

Meanwhile, Ms Leavitt said she’s ready for the next chapter.

“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House press secretary, along with the same energy and candour that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms,” she said.
