Four killed in Mali mine explosion
Four civilian passengers of a transport minibus were killed on Tuesday following a mine explosion in Mopti region of central Mali, the Malian News Agency (AMAP) reported on Friday.
The minibus hit a mine set by unidentified people in the middle of Parou bridge. The vehicle was heading to Bandiagara from Bankass.
According to AMAP, other passengers travelling in the same vehicle, including two women, were injured.
The same bridge has been attacked three times by unidentified gunmen, according to the agency, which said that last year the UN peacekeeping force in the country, MINUSMA, rebuilt the bridge which is the main crossing point to the border with Burkina Faso on the Bankass side.
