Frankfurt to host 2027 Europa League final

The city of Frankfurt will host the Europa League final in 2027, the European ruling body UEFA said on Wednesday.
This will be the third time that a German city will host the event, after Hamburg in 2010 and Cologne in 2020.
Leipzig, meanwhile, will welcome the Conference League final in 2026.
The UEFA executive committee also decided during a meeting in Dublin, ahead of this season’s Europa League final between Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta later, that the Puskas Arena in Budapest will host the Champions League final in 2026.
The decision on the 2027 edition is suspended until September, subject to the Italian football body FIGC submitting information on refurbishment plans for the San Siro stadium in Milan.
In addition, UEFA awarded the 2026 Europa League and the 2027 Conference League finals to Istanbul.
