Fraudsters hack Delta civil service website, scam applicants N8,500

Suspected fraudsters on Wednesday hacked the website of the Delta State Civil Service Commission to scam unsuspecting job applicants.
The fraudsters had asked applicants to obtain forms for recruitment and to submit same with a non-refundable fee of N8,500 in a Unity Bank account number 0010840393.
The director of information at the commission, Theresa Oliko, who confirmed the hack in a statement on Thursday, disowned the job recruitment exercise as fake.
Requesting that Deltans not fall victim to the fraud, Mrs Oliko said, “The commission does not advertise recruitment or any of its activities online.”
According to her, “No one should make payment whatsoever into the bank account mentioned in the said fake online advert.”
