Friendly: Algeria defeat Nigeria

Algeria defeated the Nigerian Super Eagles on Friday night in a friendly match played at the Worthersee Stadium, Klagenfurt, Austria.
The match ended in a 0-1 in favour of the Desert Foxes. A goal by Ramy Bensebaini in the fifth minute gave the African champions victory, ending the Eagles’ five-match unbeaten run and bringing the number the Nigerian national team defeated under Gernot Rohr to 11.
Rohr described Friday’s defeats as a good test for the Eagles, saying there are good takeaways from the match and the Eagles need to prepare against their next match.
“This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team”, Rohr was quoted as saying by Nigerian Football Federation on Twitter Friday night.
