FRSC trains 415 marshals on modern patrol, rescue operation skills

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has trained 415 road marshal assistants on modern patrol and rescue operations skills.

The week-long training was held at its Road Marshal Assistant Training School, in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau.

Speaking at the closing of the exercise on Saturday in

Shendam, Yakubu Mohammad, the commandant of the school said that the training is part of the corps marshal’s vision for the corps.

Mr Mohammed said that the exercise tagged ”Repositioning FRSC for Enhanced Service Delivery in Patrol and Rescue Operations”, had participants drawn from various commands across the country.

”This is part of the continuous training and retraining of personnel to align with realistic expectations of our Corps Marshal.

”This training programme is designed to equip the Road Marshal Assistants with the necessary skills and professionalism for their duties.

”The course has equipped the participants with valuable knowledge on rescue operations, enforcement, use of technology, discipline, integrity and inter-agency collaboration.

”I wish to urge the participants to become change agents in their respective commands, put the knowledge gained during the training to become good ambassadors of the corp,” he advised.

The commandant, who advised the participants to exhibit civility in their operations, urged motorists to obey traffic rules and cooperate with marshals to ensure sanity on highways.
