Fufore Emirate inaugurates 16 council members

The Fufore Emirate Council in Adamawa has inaugurated 16 new council members, including former director-general of the Voice of Nigeria, Abubakar Jijiwa, as the Waziri.
Others are Bello Tukur as Wakili; Muhammad Ahijo, Galadima; Abdulkareem Gurin, Tafida; Joel Madaki, Sauki Hurumi; Jika Bapetal, Wali; and Aliyu Boya, Sardauna, among others.
Speaking during the ceremony on Thursday in Fufore, the emir, Sani Ribadu, charged the new council members to fear God and uphold integrity in the discharge of their duties.
He said the members were individuals of proven character and urged them to use their experience to advance the emirate.
The emir commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for approving the council members and reiterated his commitment to promoting justice and security within the emirate.
He also called on residents to support the new council members in their efforts to move the emirate forward.
In his remarks, Mr Jijiwa, who also serves as the council’s chairman, expressed appreciation on behalf of the newly inaugurated members.
He pledged their commitment to serve with dedication and integrity, adding that they would bring their collective experience and professionalism to support the Emir in achieving the emirate’s goals.
“With our collective experience and qualifications, we will provide his royal highness, the emir, with the best counsel and support needed to promote peace, development, and progress in the Fufore Emirate,” Mr Jijiwa said.
Fufore is among the newly created emirates and chiefdoms by Mr Fintiri.
