FULL LIST: Nigerian artists headline MOBO Awards nominations

Nigerian artists have made a strong showing for this year’s Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) awards.

Nigerian artists have made a strong showing for this year’s Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) awards with important nominations in the recently released list.

Grammy winning Wizkid, and 21-year-old Rema, were nominated in the “Best International Act” category alongside other international stars like Drake, Kanye west, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion.

Tiwa Savage , Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, CKay, Davido, King Promise, Rema, Tems and again Wizkid, were also nominated for the “Best African Music Act” category.

Although 19-year-old Ayra Starr was recently signed to Mavin Records, her breakout album “19 and Dangerous” have been topping most charts since its release on August 6, 2021.

Ckay’s global rhythm “Love Nwantinti” also has continued to make raves across major charts as well.

Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Davido are no strangers to this award as they were nominated in 2020 and Burna boy won the Best International Act award.

The MOBO awards will take place on December 5, at Coventry Building Society Arena. The award can also be streamed live on YouTube.
