Funding Cuts: Gates accuses Musk of killing world’s poorest children
Billionaire philanthropist, Bill Gates, has accused world’s richest man, Elon Musk, of killing poorest children around the world by championing the cut on aides and grants to poor countries.
Mr Gates expressed displeasure over reduction of funding to poor countries championed by Mr Musk, heading U.S.’ Department of Government Efficiency.
“The picture of the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children is not a pretty one,” Mr Gates told the Financial Times on Thursday.
The co-founder of Microsoft asked Mr Musk to visit children infected with HIV due to the development.
“I’d love for him (Mr Musk) to go in and meet the children that have now been infected with HIV because he cut that money,” Mr Gates said.
Mr Musk has yet to officially respond to Mr Gates claim.
