Tyson ‘Gypsy King’ Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have finally put pen to paper for an undisputed heavyweight fight after previous failed attempts.

The historic fight, which official date is yet to be announced, will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The General Entertainment Authority said in a statement on Friday.

There are reports that the fight that would see either of the boxers emerge the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era could be in December 2023 or January 2024.

Both men are coming into the fight with sterling career records.

Fury, 35, since he turned professional in 2008, has remained unbeaten, winning 33 fights and drawing just one. 24 of Fury’s victories were via knock out.

Usyk also has remained unbeaten in all 21 fights in his professional career, winning 14 via knock out.

Chairman of The General Entertainment Authority and Head of Riyadh Season, Turki Alalshikh, described the upcoming fight as the biggest in boxing history, which everyone have been waiting to see.

“This is the fight that everyone has wanted to see for some time and now it is finally happening – the world’s two heavyweight champions going into the ring against one another,” Mr Alalshikh said.

“It is the biggest fight in boxing, the world will be watching, and we are so proud to be the hosts for this spectacle as part of the fourth edition of our Riyadh Season celebrations,” he added.
