Ganduje employs 34 Sharia Court judges
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration now has 34 new Sharia Court judges in its employ.
Kano Chief Judge, Nura Sagir, approved the 34 additional judges.
The judges will be sworn in on Friday.
The Kano State Judiciary spokesman, Baba Jibo-Ibrahim, announced this in a statement issued to journalists in Kano on Thursday.
According to the statement, the approval was “sequel to having successfully” passed the aptitude test as well as an interview conducted by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
“All the newly appointed Sharia Court judges will be sworn in on June 25, at the conference room of the High Court of Justice, Kano by 10.00 a.m.,” the statement said.
Last April, Mr Ganduje said his administration paid over N100 million as medical allowances to judges in the state.
