Gospel artiste Dare Melody loses wife

Nigerian gospel artiste Damilare ‘Dare Melody’ Odunuga’s wife, Adedoyin Odunuga, has died.
She was reported dead on Thursday.
“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the transition to eternal rest of our beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend,” Dare Melody said on Instagram.
Dare Melody had often publicly celebrated his wife’s unwavering support and shared life.
In February 2023, the singer gifted his wife a new house as a birthday present.
Dare Melody is considered a prominent figure in Nigerian gospel music. His praise and worship songs, including hits like ‘Damilare’ and ‘Alade Ogo’ have resonated with many people.
Dare Melody has often sung about faith in times of trial.
In one of his songs, ‘Eleti Gbaroye’, he reflected on God’s listening ear and ability to comfort in moments of pain.
