Gov. AbdulRasaq approves 2025 promotion for Kwara civil servants
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the implementation of the 2025 promotion for workers in the state civil service, including 2024 and and 2025 promotion for workers in agencies, parastatals and media houses.
The spokesman for the state head of service, Okanlawon Solomom, in a statement, said the implementation took effect from September 1, 2026.
The acting head of service, Olufunke Shittu, said the implementation of the promotion exercise followed the successful completion of the necessary processes by the civil service commission and the affected establishments.
Ms Shittu stated that the approval also provided for the implementation of the 2024 and 2025 promotions for agencies, parastatals and media houses, following the conclusion of the required processes and assessment of their financial implications.
“Similarly, the state government approved the implementation of the 2025 promotion for workers in the mainstream of the State Civil Service, while drawing on the financial benefits will be effective from 1 September 2026”, the statement read.
Ms Shittu noted that the approvals were part of the measures by the present administration towards strengthening the welfare of workers in the state employment.
She stated that the approval would further motivate workers, enhance productivity and strengthen career progression within the state public service.
The acting head of service appreciated the state government for its continued commitment to workers’ welfare and career development.
