Gov. Eno inaugurates projects in Akwa Ibom community to mark third anniversary

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has inaugurated some people-oriented projects in the Oron Local Government Area as part of activities to mark his administration’s third-year anniversary.
The projects inaugurated were Model Primary Health Centre, Youth Development Centre, and 4.2 km Effiong Esang and Ukpong Streets.
The governor also inaugurated an 800-metre drainage project, and an administrative building at the council secretariat.
Speaking at inauguration, Mr Eno urged the Oron people to take advantage of the health centre to access quality and affordable healthcare services.
The governor stated youth development centres would be replicated across the 31 local government areas in the state.
He urged youths to take advantage of the facilities in their areas for personal development and the overall progress of the state.
Mr Eno said that when completed across the state, about 31,000 youths would be trained annually in ICT, fashion design, catering, among others.
The governor said that his administration deliberately created a ministry of youth development to give youth development priority attention.
He further stated that state government projects at the grassroots were aimed at decentralising development and reducing rural-urban migration.
Mr Eno assured Oron people of continued commitment to transformative initiatives if elected for a second term as governor.
