Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has inaugurated a 3,000-member All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

‎

Mr ‎Fintiri inaugurated the council at the state house banquet hall on Thursday in Yola, Adamawa State capital.

‎

‎He charged members to work for the party’s victory at all levels—from polling units, wards, and councils—across the state.

‎

‎Mr Fintiri said its composition reflected diversity, experience, and broad representation.

‎

‎”The All Progressives Congress, as a ruling party in the state, is determined to win the 2027 General Elections. I am strongly warning the members against anti-party activities,” Mr Fintiri cautioned.

‎

‎He urged the members to remain focused and ensure grassroots mobilisation.

‎

‎In his remarks, the APC governorship candidate in the state, Ahmed Galadima, commended Mr Fintiri for his foresight and strategy.

‎

Mr ‎Galadima noted that the council covers all senatorial zones and communities in the state.

The governorship aspirant pledged to continue to build on Mr Fintiri’s achievements and legacy.

‎

‎The council co-chairman, retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, thanked the governor for the trust reposed in him and urged members to uphold peace, unity, and cooperation ahead of 2027.

‎

‎Earlier, the state APC chairman, Hamza Madagali, described the turnout as evidence of unity and commitment.

‎

Mr ‎Madagali commended the governor and appealed to those not included to remain patient, assuring them of future inclusion.

‎

‎The APC national vice-chairman, North-East, Idris Shuaibu, urged members to show sincerity and commitment in discharging the assignment.

The highlight of the occasion was the receiving and handing over of defectors from the African Democratic Party (ADC) by Mr Shuaibu, who handed them over to Mr Madagali.
