Gov Idris presents six vehicles to Zakat board in Kebbi

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi, on Monday, presented six operational vehicles to the state Zakat, Sadaqat and Waqaf Board to enhance its operations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Idris said the gesture was also to strengthen the board and promote moral values across the state.
“We have observed that their work cannot be carried out effectively without operational vehicles.
“Three vehicles are allocated to the Zakat and Waqaf Committee, while the remaining three are for the Hisbah Committee,” he said.
Mr Idris said that his administration was confident that the committees would deliver on their mandates, adding that the government was committed to providing an enabling environment for the board to operate optimally.
