Gov. Lawal inspects hospital projects in Shinkafi LGA
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamafara State has said that his administration’s rescue mission is yielding the desired results as he inspects hospital projects in Shinkafi Local Government Area (LGA)of the state on Wednesday.
This is contained in statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Sulaiman Idris, in Gusau, Zamfara.
He said that, Lawal said this at Shinkafi Local Government Area (LGA), while inaugurating an empowerment programme by a member representing Shinkafi/Zurmi Federal Constituency, Bello Hassan Shinkafi.
The empowerment targets 2,000 supporters who benefited cars, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, among other items.
He said that Lawal inspected the Women and Children Welfare Clinic (WCWC) Primary Healthcare Centre in Shinkafi Town, which was awarded for total renovation.
According to him, the governor also visited the renovated General Hospital in Shinkafi and the ongoing new Referral Hospital project in the same town and expressed happiness with the quality of the projects.
He said that, while at the Emirs’ palace, Mr Lawal reiterated his administration’s commitment to execute capital projects across LGAs.
“We are in Shinkafi today to inspect numerous key projects of my administration and to launch the empowerment program of Hon. Bello Hasan, member representing Shinkafi/Zurmi constituency.
“We have fully renovated and equipped the General Hospital in Shinkafi.
“The abandoned hospital now features state-of-the-art equipment capable of addressing the emergency needs of the people.
“The Referral Hospital will be a game changer not only in Shinkafi LGA but also for the Zamfara North Senatorial Zone.
“It will ease a significant burden for people battling illnesses who are seeking serious medical attention.
“The state government acquired the former Bafarawa Institute and will house the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Zamfara State University.
“The school is undergoing serious work to complete it for effective utilisation,” he said.
He said that Mr Lawal commended Hassan for the empowerment initiative, and urged other stakeholders to prioritise human development.
