Gov. Lawal urges prayers for peace in Zamfara, Nigeria

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has called on Muslims to intensify prayers for peace in the state and across Nigeria during Eid-el-Maulud.
Mr Lawal made the call in his annual Maulud message on Friday in Gusau by his Media Assistant, Sulaiman Idris.
He congratulated the Muslim community in Zamfara State on the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, describing the day as one of deep spiritual reflection.
The governor noted that Muslims worldwide commemorate the Prophet’s birth on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Hijri calendar.
He urged Muslims to emulate the Prophet’s exemplary life, stressing that Islam goes beyond religion and represents a complete way of life anchored on noble values.
Mr Lawal highlighted that Prophet Muhammad’s teachings guide believers towards good character, righteous actions, and moral integrity that strengthen communities.
He encouraged Zamfara State residents to remain steadfast in prayers for the restoration of peace across the state, the North-West, and Nigeria as a whole.
The governor prayed, “May Almighty Allah end banditry and all forms of criminality in our beloved nation.’’
