Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has felicitated the speaker of the Delta House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, on his 47th birthday.

The governor’s felicitation is contained in a statement issued in Asaba by his chief press secretary, Festus Ahon, and made available on Wednesday.

He commended Mr Guwor, the chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, for his significant contributions to legislative excellence and for advancing policies that support the overall development of Delta.

Mr Oborevwori described the speaker as “a leader with a strong sense of purpose”.

According to him, Mr Guwor’s leadership has sustained stability in the House, fostering cooperation and mutual respect among the arms of government.

He applauded the legislature, under Mr Guwor’s watch, for maintaining a seamless lawmaking process, particularly in the passage of impactful bills and resolutions, aimed at improving the welfare of Delta people.

He also said that the speaker’s dedication to people-oriented governance and ability to steer the House with wisdom and focus had continued to strengthen democratic institutions in the state.

He acknowledged alignment between the assembly’s legislative efforts and his administration’s M.O.R.E. agenda, noting that the synergy had accelerated progress across sectors.

The governor offered prayers for the speaker’s continued good health, long life, and greater accomplishments in service to Delta and humanity as he marked another milestone.
