Gov Radda seeks Kankara residents’ support for Tinubu-Dikko in 2027 elections

Governor Dikko Radda urged the people of Kankara council area to support his re-election and that of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 based on merit.
Mr Radda made the appeal during the Tinubu/Dikko campaign rally on Wednesday in Kankara, where he revealed achievements recorded by the federal and state governments.
Mr Radda said his administration approved the payment of retirement benefits to 14,560 beneficiaries across the state, including the 34 local government areas and local government education authorities, to reduce inherited pension and death-benefit liabilities.
He said Kankara benefited from numerous projects and programmes under his administration, including palliative support, assistance to farmers, youth empowerment, improvements in schools and the development of healthcare facilities.
According to him, all the achievements were not mere promises, as residents can independently assess their impact on their communities.
Mr Dikko appreciated the large turnout of Kankara residents, describing it as evidence of their confidence in the APC-led administration.
He assured them that if given another mandate, his government would sustain its developmental initiatives.
The governor also cautioned them against politicians who abandon their communities for extended periods only to return during election campaigns to solicit votes.
He urged them to obtain their permanent voter cards (PVCs) and vote for the APC at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
In his speech, the director-general of the Tinubu-Dikko Campaign Council, Ahmed Dangiwa, commended Kankara for its continued support for progressive leadership and urged the people to convert their enthusiasm into votes at every polling unit.
The governor who paid courtesy visits to traditional and religious leaders in Kankara sought their support and prayers for a hitch-free election.
The district head of Kankara, Adamu Bello, who spoke during the governor’s visit, lauded measures taken to restore peace and stability in the area, particularly regarding the conflict between farmers and nomads.
He also praised the ongoing renovation of Kankara General Hospital and a school project in Mabai, while appealing for the project to be implemented without delay.
Mr Bello appealed for improved security in schools and the continued construction of major and feeder roads to connect farming communities with markets.
In his remarks, the chairman of Kankara council area, Kasimu Katoge, described the governor’s visit as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people of the area.
