Gov. Sanwo-Olu congratulates Sarah Sosan at 70

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulate Sarah Sosan, a former deputy governor of the state and member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) as she clocked 70.
Mrs Sosan, an educationist, served as deputy governor of the state between 2007 and 2011 under former governor Babatunde Fashola.
In a statement on Wednesday by his special adviser on media and publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Mr Sanwo-Olu described the former deputy governor as a devoted and visionary leader who contributed immensely to the development of Lagos state.
The governor said that Mrs Sosan worked closely with her principal and members of the state executive council during her tenure to position Lagos as a model of governance in Nigeria.
He also commended her long-standing impact in the education sector, noting that she played a key role in shaping thousands of students, who are today leaders across various fields.
“On behalf of my wife, family, the good people and government of Lagos state, as well as leaders and members of the GAC and the All Progressives Congress (APC).I congratulate former deputy governor of Lagos state, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on her 70th birthday,” Mrs Sanwo-Olu said.
He described her career in public service as marked by passion, discipline and commitment to progressive ideals.
“Princess Sosan served Lagos state passionately for over three decades, particularly in the Ministry of Education, as a teacher, administrator and board member for over two decades before becoming deputy governor in 2007.
“She started her political journey with the progressives and has remained a consistent supporter of good governance.
“For over two decades, she has contributed to the growth of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, at ward, local government, state and national levels,” he added.
Mr Sanwo-Olu prayed for continued strength and good health for the former deputy governor as she joins the league of septuagenarians.
“On this special occasion, I wish Princess Sarah Sosan good health and many more years of impactful service to humanity, Lagos state and Nigeria,” he said.
