Gov. Uzodimma sacks Imo commissioner
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo on Saturday approved the immediate removal of the state Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Ford Ozumba.
The is contained in a statement on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
No reason was given for removing the commissioner, who was directed to hand over to the ministry’s permanent secretary immediately.
Public sector workers under the auspices of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) embarked on industrial action on March 8, over alleged interference in the election of new state executives of the union.
