Gov Yusuf condoles with APC national secretary over mother’s death
Governor Abba Yusuf has condoled the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Surajudeen Basiru, over the death of his mother, Sidikat Basiru.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, on Monday, Mr Yusuf described Ms Basiru, aged 92, as a devout Muslim and compassionate matriarch whose life was defined by humility, submission to God and selfless sacrifice.
He lauded her commitment to nurturing her children with moral and religious values, noting that it reflected in the character and public service of Ms Basiru and other family members.
The governor added that the deceased lived an impactful life and left a legacy of faith, integrity, and service.
