Gov. Yusuf swears in Murtala Garo as deputy, tasks him on service delivery

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has charged the newly sworn-in deputy governor of the state, Murtala Garo, to work diligently towards advancing the development of the state.
Mr Yusuf gave the charge shortly after Mr Garo took the oath of office at the Government House, Kano, on Monday.
Mr Yusuf said his administration remained committed to ensuring that the people of the state benefited from the dividends of democracy through impactful policies and programmes.
He urged Mr Garo to use his experience to support government efforts aimed at improving citizen welfare.
In his remarks, Mr Garo pledged to contribute his quota to the growth and development of the state.
He expressed appreciation to the governor for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve in the administration.
The ceremony was attended by the deputy president of the Senate, Barau Jibrin; former governors of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau and Abdullahi Ganduje; speaker of the state House of Assembly, Jibril Falgore, among others.
