Gov Yusuf to swear in new deputy Tuesday

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State will swear in the newly screened deputy governor, Murtala Garo, on Tuesday.
This follows the resignation of Aminu Gwarzo as deputy governor amid a dispute and allegations of mismanagement while in office.
In a statement issued on Monday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, said the ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Coronation Hall inside the Government House.
“The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, by 11:00 a.m.,” he said.
According to him, the event is expected to attract top government officials, political stakeholders, traditional rulers, party loyalists, and members of the public.
He added that Mr Yusuf has invited stakeholders across the state to attend and witness the occasion
